Let's play "bet you didn't know this about me"...

1.  I married the boy I met when I was 14.  We dated all through high school and got married when I was 19 and he was 20. We are still together after traveling around as a Navy family. We have two children, ;Jason 37, married to Susan and father of 2 boys and 2 girls and Tara, 35 unmarried but seeing a nice fellow, maybe wedding soon.

2.  I love to fish.  Don't get to go often enough but being on the water in our 24' Grady White Offshore boat is my favorite place to be.

3. Disney World is my favorite vacation spot with my grandchildren.

You beat me ... Ben and I were 16 when I met him in HS. We were married when I was 19 and he was 21.... We've been married 31 years. Our twin sons will be 27 in December and our daughter is 14. No grandchildren on the horizon yet.

In Ben's next life, he might want to marry you. I can't stand fishing and he loves it.

 

Barb,  Grandchildren are the best thing!  I would have skipped having kids and went straight to grandchildren if I could have. LOL  You will love having a couple.  They keep you young!

Tell Ben, we can always use a new fishing buddy!! If we ever get to go again, with this economy it is a expensive hobby.  As my friend says you know what B.O.A.T. stands for don't ya?  Break Out Another Thousand!!

Our oldest son just married in September and I imagine it will be a few years before children come into the scene. Our other son seems to have met his 'match,' but hasn't decided to take the plunge yet. I imagine that I'll be in 'virtual heaven' when we are blessed with grandchildren, but being sooooo far away from them will be incredibly hard. My children are 3000 miles away, living in CA and aren't likely to move this way. I am sure that you are absolutely right ... I will LOVE having grandchildren...

I'll be sure to let Ben know... I hope that the economy improves for that and so many other reasons.

Shauna, this is a great post!  Thanks for thinking of it!

1.  My father took me flying when I was 9 HOURS old.  He was a pilot and got 2 nurses to come along for the ride.  The Associated Press ran a story and photo of me, Dad, the nurses and the plane.  I got my 15 mintues of fame before I could appreciate it, but my Dad sure enjoyed it  .

2.  I married Ronnie 6 weeks after graduating high school on July 20, 1975.  We started dating in 1972 and he is THE ONLY ONE I"VE EVER BEEN WITH (if you know what I mean).  Now how many women can or would admit that these days?

3.  Cancer has delt my family some hard blows...  My Dad died from oral cancer at age 55.  Ronnie's Dad died from lung cancer at age 39.  Ronnie was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 49.  i was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 51. And finally, my Mom is fighting lung cancer now.  We must find a cure for this vicious, evil disease!

This is just to cool!!!!!

1.   I met my husband on the Internet in March 2005 - our first date was on April 2, 2005 - We married June 25, 2005!!!!  I know.  CRAZY.  We are so in love and we were just talking about how we actually like each other.  He's the best.  More about him later.

2. I'm a nurse who decided to become an Administrator and I operate an assisted living community. 

3.  I love to have fun, laugh and joke.  Life is to short to take everything so seriously.  I enjoy the company of good friends, a glass of wine and God in my life.  Not necessarily in that order.  Laughter is the best medicine.

Your quick marriage sounds like my mom and dad. She met him in late March when she had just turned 19 and they were married in mid May. They were married until my dad passed away at 58. Sometimes I guess you just know!

Brian and I met in June and were married in December. Our 10 year anniversary is right around the corner. Somethimes, you just know!

Ben is my one and only and we married in 1977, when I was 19 ... We had been high school sweethearts... That was 31 years ago.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother's struggle. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Sad to say, But I actually had to think about this...LOL

1. I was chosen for homecoming court my senior year of highschool!! Each class has 3 couples and the seniors have 4...and each class has a couple that wins for thier class and then of course the seniors have the queen and king and the winners of the senior class and I WON :) the senior class court :) That was my popular time in high school...LOL

2. I have been married to my marine for 9 years and every year, the Marine Corps has a Marine Corps ball and this Decemeber 4th will be my FIRST Marine Corps ball EVERRRR!! Because I NEVER wanted to be the fattest wife there, so I never went, I did not have the confidence to go!! THIS YEAR, I am ready to rock it :) Pics will be posted!!! LOL

3. I graduated in the top 10 of my senior class of '94   (YEP im old & the term "dumb blonde" is overrated, because I am proof of a smart one) LOL
